Here in Border country...
...we breed and race thoroughbred horses and Chepstow, Hereford, Worcester and Cheltenham racecourses are within easy reach. Horse riding is available nearby, together with inspiring walks, attractive and challenging golf courses and well-stocked, peaceful fishing lakes. We love dogs and want you to bring yours to enjoy the freedom that ours take for granted - safe from traffic and fenced off from horses and farm animals.
There are elegant country hotels to visit and new and exciting places to eat, as well as a fully equipped kitchen in the cottage for when you want to stay in. Old market towns surround us, each with a different atmosphere to savour, and we can direct you to each one on quiet roads through pretty countryside.
Further afield, but still not very far away, are Cardiff with its fabulous new Bay area, the cathedral city of Hereford, Ross-on-Wye, and Newport - home of the 2010 Ryder Cup.
You can also visit the Big Pit and World Heritage Site ironworks at Blaenavon, the Royal Forest of Dean, Symonds Yat Rock overlooking the lower Wye valley - where Tintern Abbey is a must, the Golden Valley leading to Hay-on-Wye with its books and so much more, and last but not least, the Black Mountains and the lakes and peaks of the Brecon Beacons National Park.
